DYA Girls Volleyball

2024 DYA Girls Volleyball registration is CLOSED as the season is underway.

DYA Girls Volleyball is a two-day-a-week recreational program in the fall for 3rd through 12th graders consisting of 10 practices and at least 8 matches.

Picture Day Information:
DYA Girls Volleyball Picture Day is Saturday, September 21. Pictures take place at the school where your match that day is scheduled. The photographers kindly ask that you arrive 45 to 60 minutes prior to your team's start time to take individual photos. Team photos will be taken on the court immediately before your match begins. Photographers will have extra order forms available on Picture Day. Picture Day services are provided by Midwest Sports.

DYA Night at Dublin Jerome Lady Celtics Volleyball — 9/26/2024

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 26 — 6:45 PM (Junior Varsity & Freshman at 5:30 PM).

Dublin Jerome Celtics Girls Volleyball invites all DYA Volleyball players to the team's home match on Thursday, September 26 when the Lady Celts face OCC rival Marysville Monarchs at Dublin Jerome High School (8300 Hyland-Croy Rd).

All DYA Volleyball players wearing their DYA Volleyball uniform shirt will be admitted FREE!

Youth athletes will be recognized during the Varsity match. A FREE 30-minute skills clinic with the Dublin Jerome Varsity team will be held on the court immediately following the varsity match. All youth athletes are welcome to participate!

Tickets for those not admitted free can be purchased in advance online.

2024 Recreational Girls Volleyball - Program Information

2024 Recreational Girls Volleyball
August 26-November 2
Weeknight practices, Saturday afternoon games

DYA Girls Volleyball is a two-day-a-week recreational program consisting of 10 practices and at least 8 matches. The program is open to 3rd through 12th grade girls and consists of 3 divisions. Players must be registered to play with their grade level.

Divisions (2024-2025 school year):
3rd/4th Grade Division
5th/6th Grade Division
7th-12th Grade Division

3rd/4th Grade Division: Teams are scheduled for 10 practices and 8 matches. Weekly 1-hour practices are held on weeknights beginning the week of August 26. Practices are held at Dublin elementary school gymnasiums including Bailey, Depp, Glacier Ridge, Hopewell, and Pinney. Practice night (Monday-Thursday) and time (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM) are selected by coaches and generally remain consistent throughout the season. Matches are played on Saturday afternoons at Karrer Middle School beginning September 14. The season is scheduled to end on November 2.

5th/6th Grade & 7th-12th Grade Divisions: Teams are scheduled for 10 practices and 7 matches plus a postseason tournament. Weekly 1-hour practices are held on weeknights beginning the week of August 26. Practices are held at Dublin elementary school gymnasiums including Bailey, Depp, Glacier Ridge, Hopewell, and Pinney. Practice night (Monday-Thursday) and time (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM) are selected by coaches and generally remain consistent throughout the season. Matches are played on Saturday afternoons at Karrer Middle School beginning September 14. The postseason tournament is a 1-day tournament on November 2. Sign up if your child is trying out for their middle school or high school volleyball team. If your child makes their school team, a refund will be issued.

Equipment: Volleyballs are provided by the league. Knee pads are highly recommended for all participants to avoid burns and bruises.

Fee: Girls Volleyball fee is $105*, plus the cost of a uniform shirt, if you need one.
*an additional $20 was added on August 1

Uniform Shirts: All players wear the DYA Volleyball uniform shirt at matches. The uniform shirt is the same as last year and is $20 to purchase. Sizes available: Youth-Small, Youth-Medium, Youth-Large, Adult-Small, Adult-Medium, Adult-Large, and Adult-XL.

Medals: Participation medals are awarded to all players at the end of the season.

Coaches Needed: Dublin Youth Athletics is a volunteer organization of parents providing sports programs for kids. Parents can register to coach their child's team during player registration or by clicking "Volunteer" on the user account page at DYA.com. Coaches Corner

Preseason Coaches' Meetings:

3rd/4th Grade: Sunday, August 18, 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM @ DYA Office

5th/6th Grade & 7th-12th Grade: Sunday, August 18, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM @ DYA Office

Preseason Coaches' Clinic: The preseason coaches' clinic for Girls Volleyball is scheduled for Monday, August 19, 7:00 PM at Bailey Elementary (4900 Brandonway Dr).

Team Notification: Families will be notified of their team placement, roster, and practice schedule a day or two following the preseason coaches' meeting.

Do you reside outside of DYA boundaries?: This program is open to all families who reside within the boundaries of the Dublin City School District or within the City of Dublin. Out of boundary families may participate if there is space available in the program.

All facilities have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) available in case of emergency. AEDs are portable, life-saving devices designed to treat people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, a medical condition in which the heart stops beating suddenly and unexpectedly.
