PROGRAM INFORMATION

DYA Boys Lacrosse Youth Officials

The DYA Boys Lacrosse Youth Officials program is open to 8th-12th graders residing in the City of Dublin or within the Dublin City School District boundaries.

Officials work K-6th grade DYA Recreational League games. Games are held on Sunday afternoons from early April through late May. Occasional weeknight (Wednesday/Thursday) games are played in May. Games are played at Emerald Fields in Dublin.

Officials pay is $20 per game.

Youth Officials Responsibilities:

- Attend preseason officials meeting and training

- Arrive promptly to each game to start on-time

- Posses knowledge and application of DYA Lacrosse rules (similarities and differences) at each division level.

- Be comfortable controlling play of the game, making calls and instruction/correcting play

Concussion Certification: Ohio Law requires all officials to be certified in concussion recognition. The free online certification course takes about 30 minutes to complete and is found at http://nfhslearn.com/courses/concussion-in-sports-2. Upon completion of the course, a certificate is issued. Concussion certification is valid for three years.
