2024 Spring/Summer Baseball/Softball Youth Umpires - Registration

2024 Baseball & Softball Youth Umpires

The DYA Youth Umpires program is open to 7th-12th graders who reside in the City of Dublin or within the Dublin City School District boundaries.

Umpires work 3rd-12th grade Recreational Baseball & Softball League games. The regular season begins May 4 and the postseason tournament concludes by June 29 for most leagues. Games are played weeknights (Monday-Thursday) and Saturday afternoons and evenings in Dublin.

Additional information regarding training clinics will be e-mailed to all registered applicants as the season approaches.

2024 Baseball/Softball Youth Umpires - Program Information

DYA Baseball/Softball Youth Umpires

The DYA Youth Umpires program is open to 7th-12th graders who reside in the City of Dublin or within the Dublin City School District boundaries. Umpires work DYA Baseball & Softball Recreational League games.

2024 Spring/Summer season: Umpires work 3rd grade and older DYA Baseball & Softball Recreational League games. Regular season games begin May 4 and the postseason tournament concludes on June 29 for most leagues. Games are played weeknights (Monday-Thursday) and Saturdays at Avery Park in Dublin.

2024 Fall season: Umpires work 4th grade and older DYA Fall Baseball & Softball League games. The fall season is September 3 through October 7. Games are played on weeknights (Monday-Thursday) at Avery Park in Dublin. Games begin at 6:15 PM. Late-season games played on fields without lights may begin as early as 5:30 PM to complete before darkness.

Concussion Certification: Ohio Law requires all officials to be certified in concussion recognition. The free online certification course takes about 30 minutes to complete and is found at http://nfhslearn.com/courses/concussion-in-sports-2. Upon completion of the course, a certificate is issued. Concussion certification is valid for three years.
