DYA Girls Volleyball is a two-day-a-week recreational program in the fall for 3rd through 12th graders, consisting of 10 practices and at least 8 matches.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

2025 Recreational Girls Volleyball
August 25-November 1
Weeknight practices, Saturday afternoon games

DYA Girls Volleyball is a two-day-a-week recreational program consisting of 10 practices and at least 8 matches. The program is open to 3rd through 12th grade girls and consists of 3 divisions. Players must be registered to play with their grade level.

Sign up if your child is trying out for their middle school or high school volleyball team. If your child makes their school team, a refund will be issued.

Divisions (2025-2026 school year):
3rd/4th Grade Division
5th/6th Grade Division
7th-12th Grade Division

3rd/4th Grade Division:

Teams are scheduled for 10 practices and 8 matches.

Weekly 1-hour practices are held on weeknights beginning the week of August 25. Practices are held at Dublin elementary school gymnasiums including Bailey, Depp, Glacier Ridge, Hopewell, and Pinney. Practice night (Monday-Thursday) and time (6:30 PM or 7:30 PM) are selected by coaches and generally remain consistent throughout the season.

Matches are played on Saturday afternoons at Karrer Middle School beginning September 13.

The season is scheduled to end on November 1.

5th/6th Grade & 7th-12th Grade Divisions: 

Teams are scheduled for 10 practices and 7 matches plus a postseason tournament.

Fee: Girls Volleyball fee is $110, plus the cost of a uniform shirt, if you need one.

Picture Day: Girls Volleyball Picture Day is Saturday, September 20. Pictures take place at the school where your match that day is scheduled. The photographers kindly ask that you arrive 45 to 60 minutes prior to your team's start time to take individual photos. Team photos will be taken on the court immediately before your match begins. Photographers will have extra order forms available on Picture Day. Picture Day services are provided by Midwest Sports.

Postseason Awards: Participation medals are awarded to all players at the end of the season.

Equipment

Volleyballs are provided by the league. Knee pads are highly recommended for all participants to avoid burns and bruises.

Uniform Shirts: 

All players wear the DYA Volleyball uniform shirt at matches. The uniform shirt is the same as last year and is $20 to purchase. Sizes available: Youth-Small, Youth-Medium, Youth-Large, Adult-Small, Adult-Medium, Adult-Large, and Adult-XL.

Team Notification: Families will be notified of their team placement, roster, and practice schedule a day or two following the preseason coaches' meeting.

Teammate/Coach Requests:
Teams are assigned by the league office and all teammate/coach requests are usually able to be granted. Be sure to include any teammate/coach requests on the registration form. To add requests after registering, email office@dya.com.

DYA Volleyball rules:

Do you reside outside of DYA boundaries?: This program is open to all families who reside within the boundaries of the Dublin City School District or within the City of Dublin. Out of boundary families may participate if there is space available in the program.

DYA Volleyball practices and matches are held at Dublin City Schools gymnasiums. Enter through the door numbers listed below.

All facilities have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) available in case of emergency. AEDs are portable, life-saving devices designed to treat people experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, a medical condition in which the heart stops beating suddenly and unexpectedly.
